Famous Ant Problem Solution

Three ants are going up a hill, one behind the other. The last ant then says to the other ants, 'There is an ant behind me!'' How come?

They are walking uphill inside the anthill ascending in a spiral pattern. Since they are inside the hill, their view of each other is not blocked. The first ant is behind the last and slightly above.
